St. John’s Franklin Welcomes MissIon Group from Ohio Episcopal Churches
On Sunday, July 12, St. John’s Episcopal Church in Franklin welcomed a group of adults and youth from Trinity Cathedral in Cleveland, St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Berea, and St. Paul Episcopal Church in Medina, Ohio, for a week of service alongside Mustard Seed Missions.

Mustard Seed Missions, a Franklin-based ministry, partners with Venango County to support neighbors in need by providing basic home repairs, transportation to medical appointments, beds, and gently used appliances. Throughout the week, the ten youth participants completed a variety of projects, including rebuilding a porch and steps, installing a wheelchair ramp, coating a trailer roof, installing a ceiling, and restoring a yard for local residents. Their week of service concluded with participation in St. John’s worship service on Sunday.
Franklin is truly blessed by the dedication of this mission team, whose work reflects the spirit of serving as one church across state lines. This year’s visit marked the Ohio group’s ninth mission trip to Franklin since 2010.
“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there,’ and it will move.”
Mark 17:20
