An Update from the Search Committee
Dear Friends in Christ,
As you know, the diocesan search profile is now live, which means we are currently receiving applications from across the Church. The profile represents the bulk of the work the Search Committee engaged in this autumn after forming in September.
We are deeply grateful for all the ways you contributed to this effort—through surveys and listening sessions, by sharing stories of your congregation’s ministries, and by sending photographs. Your participation was essential to the crafting of the profile.
The search profile serves as the gateway to applying. Those who read it and feel called to this place are invited to apply using the links at the end of the profile. Applicants are asked to respond to essay questions, submit references, and include a résumé.
We will continue receiving applications until February 2. After that date, all applications received by our Search Consultant will be shared with the Search Committee. The Committee will then review the materials and invite selected candidates to participate in Zoom interviews.
We hope you will take time to read the profile so that we may all share a common understanding of the characteristics we seek in our next bishop. We also encourage you to share the profile with colleagues and friends in your Episcopal networks beyond this diocese. We will continue to provide updates on the process on a bimonthly basis. As always, if you have questions, please contact us at bishopsearch@dionwpa.org.
Faithfully,

Melinda Hall
Search Committee Chair
