CORE Annual Picnic

On August 16, members of CORE (Collaborative Oil Region Episcopal) gathered at Two Mile Run Park in Franklin for their annual picnic. The gathering brought together members of St. James, Titusville; Christ Church, Oil City; and St. John’s/Grace Lutheran, Franklin for a wonderful day of worship and fellowship.

The Rev. Jake Jacobson offered the homily, with the Rev. Mark Elliston serving as celebrant. Attendees were also joined by a special surprise guest, Bishop Mark Stevenson of the Diocese of Virginia!

It was a joyful opportunity to worship together, strengthen connections across the CORE congregations, and, of course, share plenty of good food and fellowship.
