Search and Transition Timeline

Dear Friends in Christ,

Your search committee is very excited about the upcoming listening sessions. We hope you have signed up to attend and lend your voice in this important process. If not, we invite you to sign up and attend one of the four available sessions:

October 11, 10am-12pm: Resurrection Church, Hermitage 

October 16, 7pm-9pm: via Zoom

October 18, 10am-12pm: Church of Our Saviour, DuBois 

October 18, 10am-12pm: Cathedral of St. Paul, Erie

The listening sessions will give your search committee the necessary data we need, so we can understand what is the consensus emerging from amongst us in regard to our vision for the diocese and our desired charisms in a bishop. That information is the lynchpin of the bishop profile. The profile describes our diocese to those who might be discerning a call to serve as our bishop, and our desire and hope is to present ourselves accurately and honestly.

Keep us mindful of those on the margins, and open our hearts to the Spirit’s leading, that we may find a pastor to help us live our baptismal covenant and share Christ’s renewing love. Through Jesus Christ, our rock and redeemer, we pray. Amen.
